Costume Trends Report: July 31 – August 6 (Sexy Movies)

We’re diving into specifics this week, looking at some of our top sexy costumes from the movies, and…well…check out the second costume.

I’m not really sure what to say about this sexy Edward Scissorhands costume. I always thought that Johnny Depp looked kind of effeminate in the movie, but this is just outright accepting that fact.

Pirates never go out of style, and that’s proof positive here. The interesting thing about this costume, like many sexy/sassy costumes, is that it’s the female version of a male costume. Thus proving that everybody and some mothers do, in fact, want to be Johnny Depp.

Costume Trends Report: July 24 – July 30

I put my hand up on my hip, when I dip you dip we dip and today we’re dipping into the most popular costumes from July 24th to July 30th.

So you came here to learn what’s trending in the land o’ the costumes. Well, truth be told, it’s a lot of the same from last week. Bumblebee (circa Transformers) and the Captain were both trending costumes again. But there were a few different ones that stuck out from the crowd.

What’s more classic than our Classic Snow White Costume? Not only is it classic, but it’s sexy too. As 2012 sees the release of not one, but two movies based on the timeless story, it seems that more than a few ladies are getting into costume a year early for this one.

This little sweetheart made it high on the numbered list, too. It’s no secret that adorable sells, and sells damn well. So, consequently, it’s no surprise that this adorable number sold particularly well last week, especially since it’s one of our favorites to feature – The Pink Poodle Infant/Toddler Costume.

There’s not much to be said about our Top Gun Men’s Flight Suit Adult Costume, other than the fact that, apparently, Tom Cruise isn’t the only dangerous one out there anymore.

Costume Trends Report: July 17 – July 23

What’s hot? What’s not? Ok, so I’m just going to focus on what’s hot here at BuyCostumes and give you a glimpse into 3 of our Top 10 costumes from the week of July 17 thru July 23.

Marvel’s latest theatrical endeavor, Captain America: The First Avenger premiered last Friday to a pretty solid showing. Also, unsurprisingly, another huge summer blockbuster saw representation in our top 10. Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon. This is one of the cooler costumes we sell, even if you’re a classic Transformers fan, you have to appreciate the intricate details that director Michael Bay managed to inject into the new generation of the infamous robots in disguise.
